Once again, we’re making sure our Lance Truck Campers and Travel Trailers are not only some of the best on the road but also provide a better user experience. Each detail that goes into the making of one of our RVs is important which includes the wiring.
We go a different route when it comes to attaching the camper and truck wiring. A special plug was chosen by Lance to make that connection over the standard Bargman connector. One of the reasons we looked to other options is because this plug only offers a 10-gauge wire. This was a very limiting gauge range because, while it sufficiently would bring power from the battery to the camper, it limits the current for things like running the refrigerator or charging the batteries.
Lance, with its attention to detail, deemed necessary to have a custom built connector with 8-gauge wire to ensure continuous electrical support during your excursions. This thicker wire allows for smoother flow of currents. While it does cost more, it’s worth the extra expense knowing that your travels will not be interrupted from insufficient power. More importantly, being on the road will be safer without the added possibility of wires overheating.
We think of every detail when putting out our RVs. Your safety is always our top priority so we’re always looking for ways to improve our products.
